PRESS: Russia to launch mobile app for migrants in 2022

MOSCOW, Sep 22 (PRIME) -- Russia will launch a mobile application for foreigners to fill in necessary documents to stay and work in the country in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on Wednesday in an interview with daily Izvestiya.

The application will become an analogue of Gosusligi, the application for the citizens to use state services online, Overchuk said, adding that the country has about 3.8 million labor migrants working under the patent or as citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union under the labor contract and about 290,000 young people as students.

“Moving to another country needs a much bigger number of questions to be settled than just looking for a vacancy and placing a CV, but paperwork, medical insurance, lodging, signing of a labor contract, and others…This is why we decided to make the whole client way, which a foreigner should take to come to the country and get a job, reflected and made more convenient with a single mobile application,” the official said.

The application will help a person check permission to come to Russia. “More likely, it will be a digital state-private partnership – private services will be also presented, for example, purchase of medical insurance or search and rent of lodging,” Overchuk said.
